		<description>Hi Jon, thank you for your comment. I have checked and the packages you are mentioning are installed on my notebook.
Whenever I click on the option "offline" of Google Reader I get a message to install Google Gears. Once I have installed Google Gears again it still does not work.
Somehow I can not access the "Google Gears Settings". I think I will write a post with some screen shots and more details.</description>

		<description>Thanks for the link to the knowledge base. I just successfully installed and tried it on Gutsy. The packages I installed were libc6 (already installed) (aptitude show libc6 says "provides: glibc-2.6.1") and libstdc++5.</description>
