Buildings with weird shapes

I read about the shape of this building in a German online newspaper. I don’t know what the architect of this retirement home in Alabama was thinking when he planned this. In Germany he would be probably in prison already… ;-)

So, here you can see what I mean:

However, Americans seem to have a thing for the swastika shaped buildings. Have a look at the US Navy Headquarters in San Diego, California:
